Detroit morning hours stereo display Mojo in the Early morning posted artwork of Fakih competing its 2007 "Stripper 101" competition. For the competition, strippers showed female listeners some moves and the "finest student" was the grand-prize winner. Matching to the station, only females have been in attendance and the performers ended up all fully clothed.
The pictures, which the station claimed have been circulating on their website for decades, exhibit Fakih dancing completely clothed and with dollar costs stuffed in her bra following winning the levels of competition.
The radio station says it was all in great excitement, but Mojo in the Morning wrote on its web page Monday that Miss USA officials contacted them "requesting additional photographs and information" pertaining to Fakih's involvement in the competition. When the show's producers asked pageant officials if the images would influence Fakih's concept, they wouldn't answer.
"Mojo in the Early morning entirely supports Rimah Fakih as she represents Detroit and America in the Miss Universe contest," a Mojo staffer emailed Celebrity Circuit. "The radio show will not entertain requests to drag her name as a result of the mud."
Matching to a statement posted on TMZ.com, Fakih earned prizes as well as "jewelry, gift cards, adult toys and a stripper pole for residence use" just after successful the levels of competition.
Other beauty queens have gotten in difficulty and been equipped to keep their crowns. Miss USA 2006 Tara Connor nearly dropped her subject in excess of underage drinking and tough partying, but she entered a drug rehabilitation system and was permitted to keep her crown.
Even so, Miss Nevada 2007 Katie Rees lost her crown just after scandalous graphics of her surfaced on the Internet.
Partly nude photographs of 2009's Miss California Carrie Prejean didn't cause her to reduce her subject (Prejean claimed the photographs were definitely legitimate modeling). But pageant officials afterwards terminated Prejean's contract just after she created reviews towards gay marriage. Pageant officials stated she didn't maintain up her end of the pageant agreement. Prejean stated she suffered discrimination for her views. Dueling lawsuits were being settled out of court.
